Caritas 2025/2026 chosen charity
2025/2026 Fundraising Focus: Caritas & St Aidan’s
We’re proud to announce that this year, all our fundraising efforts will support Caritas, specifically the incredible work they do with St Aidan’s in Wythenshawe.
During September, Mrs Hussain, Miss Dickinson and Mrs Miller spent time with the team at St Aidan’s and witnessed first-hand the impact of their community outreach from the foodbank and SEND support group, to work with refugees, MENd Minds, Further Pathways, and Building Bridges initiatives.
To help students understand the impact of their fundraising, we created a short video capturing these moments. It highlights how their contributions will support such a worthy cause.

update

We are incredibly proud that, together, the BTHCC community raised an amazing £9,000 for Caritas!
A huge highlight of our fundraising year was in June, when 13 members of staff took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. Walking 26 miles across the Yorkshire Dales, the team completed the challenge in 11 hours and 30 minutes, raising a fantastic £2,000 to support the important work of Caritas.
We were delighted to welcome Gerry from Caritas to our Prize Evening, where we presented a cheque for the remaining funds raised throughout the year. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate what our school community had achieved and to recognise the difference our fundraising can make to others.
It has been a privilege to work alongside Caritas and support the incredible work they do to help people in our local community. Although our main fundraising year has come to an end, our partnership continues, and we will be supporting Caritas again through our Advent collection.
Thank you to everyone who donated, took part in fundraising activities and supported our efforts. Your generosity has helped us live out our BTHCC values of kindness, hard work and developing our whole selves by putting faith into action and making a real difference to others.
