This academic year, Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College is proud to support CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) as our chosen charity. Together, we hope to raise an incredible £10,000 to help CAFOD support communities around the world, tackle poverty and build a fairer future for everyone.

Inspired by our Catholic faith and our commitment to kindness, we want to put our values into action and make a real difference to the lives of others.

Our Fundraising Challenge

Throughout the year, our BTHCC community will come together through a range of exciting fundraising events and activities, all helping us work towards our £10,000 target.

  • London Marathon 2027: We are incredibly proud of Mrs Hogg, Mr Wallbank and Ms Adams, who will be taking on the London Marathon to raise money for CAFOD. We will be cheering them on every step of the way!

  • Welcome Mass and CAFOD Bingo Night: We will bring our community together to celebrate the start of our Year 7 journey, with a bingo evening raising funds for CAFOD.

  • Christmas Raffle: Our much-loved Christmas raffle will bring together donations and prizes from our generous college community to help boost our fundraising total.

  • Christmas Fair: Our festive celebrations will provide another opportunity for students and staff to get involved, have fun and support this important cause.

  • Big Pub Quiz – February: Get your thinking caps on! Our big quiz night promises friendly competition, plenty of fun and another fantastic opportunity to raise money for CAFOD.

  • BIG Lent Walk - Every year, we take part in the Big Lent Walk for CAFOD, joining thousands across the country in walking, reflecting, and raising vital funds for communities in need. It’s a wonderful way for our students and staff to live out our mission, come together in solidarity, and make a real difference during the season of Lent.

Alongside these events, we will be looking for further ways to raise awareness and encourage everyone to play their part.

Making a Difference Together

Every donation, every event and every act of kindness brings us one step closer to our £10,000 target. Through our partnership with CAFOD, we hope to help communities access the support and resources they need to build safer, healthier and more hopeful futures.

Thank you to everyone who supports our fundraising throughout the year. Together, we can show that even small acts of generosity can make a big difference.

"We help all people, regardless of background, so that together we can build a better, fairer world – as God intended."
