At Blessed Thomas Holford, our Sixth Form is a vibrant, inclusive, and aspirational community where students are supported to flourish academically, personally, and spiritually.
Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College established its Sixth Form provision in September 2011. Since its opening, the college has provided students with access to a comprehensive curriculum encompassing 25 A-Level and vocational qualifications. Our students demonstrate excellence across academic, personal, social, and spiritual dimensions of their development.
The college motto, "May God's love be our guide," is reflected throughout all aspects of Sixth Form life and underpins our educational philosophy.
Our Sixth Form is characterised by an environment of prayer, kindness, patience, perseverance, hope, and protection. Recognising that our young people represent our most valuable gift, we acknowledge that selecting an appropriate Sixth Form constitutes a significant decision for students and their families. We offer a stimulating and enriching curriculum designed to prepare students for post-18 pathways, complemented by high-quality pastoral support.
Upon joining our Sixth Form community, students are encouraged to explore the full breadth of their talents and capabilities. Whilst we are committed to supporting students in achieving their academic potential, we equally value personal development, self-discovery, and the cultivation of individual values. We aim to equip students with the faith, passion, abilities, and personal qualities necessary to make meaningful contributions beyond the college environment.
The two-year Sixth Form programme provides students with extensive opportunities for new experiences alongside rigorous academic study, ensuring a balanced approach that incorporates both challenge and enjoyment. We continue to foster the BTH family ethos within the Sixth Form and firmly believe that membership of our Sixth Form community extends beyond graduation, maintaining lifelong connections with our students.
Led by Mrs Gregson, Head of Key Stage 5, our Sixth Form offers a nurturing environment rooted in Catholic values, where every student is known, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential.
