Higher Education

At BTHCC, we want every student to feel confident about what comes next.
Whether you’re thinking about university, an apprenticeship, employment or another pathway, our Sixth Form team will help you explore your options and find the route that’s right for you.
Careers Programme
Throughout Years 12 and 13, students have access to:
- Careers advice and one to one guidance
- University and apprenticeship information
- Employer and careers events
- Work experience opportunities
- Support with applications, personal statements and interviews
- Apprenticeship and employment opportunities
- University visits and higher education events
- Enrichment and volunteering opportunities to build skills and experience

Work Experience
Every Year 12 student has the opportunity to complete a week of work experience during the summer term.
It’s a great chance to step outside the classroom, experience the world of work and explore an area that interests you. Students can use the week to develop valuable skills, build confidence and gain experience that will support their future plans.
Your Future, Your Choice
We know that everyone’s journey is different. Our aim is to help you discover your strengths, explore your ambitions and take your next step with confidence.
