Welcome to Brilliant BTH
Dear Students, Parents, and Colleagues,
I am delighted to welcome you to the Brilliant BTH Programme – an exciting initiative designed to nurture and challenge our most academically able students at Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College.
Whilst our broad and comprehensive curriculum challenges all our students, the Brilliant BTH programme is designed to give our most able students opportunities to thrive beyond the national curriculum and the classroom. This programme is about more than academic achievement; it's about inspiring curiosity, developing critical thinking, and opening doors to the very best universities and future careers.
Our aim is to raise the aspirations of our high-ability students to continue their academic excellence through to university, including Russell Group and Oxbridge universities, degree apprenticeships, and to support them to achieve their full potential at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
Whether your child is conducting independent research in Year 7, working with PhD tutors through The Brilliant Club in Year 9, or developing advanced academic skills in Year 10, the Brilliant BTH Programme provides a structured pathway to excellence for our students.
I encourage all eligible students to embrace these opportunities with enthusiasm and commitment. The skills you develop – from research and critical analysis to public speaking and essay writing – will serve you throughout your academic journey and beyond.
