National Professional Qualification
National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are the most widely recognised qualifications in the education sector for current and aspiring leaders. Accredited by the Department for Education (DfE), NPQs provide training and support for teachers and school leaders at all levels. They will support you to develop the skills and knowledge to progress in your career and to support your school.
We’re delighted to collaborate with Bright Futures Teaching Hub who is partnered with one of a select group of national providers to design, deliver and assess six reformed NPQs - Teach First.
The reformed suite of NPQs is designed to offer the best possible support to teachers and leaders wanting to expand their knowledge and develop their skills, helping them to become more effective teachers and leaders inside and outside the classroom.
Collaborating with Bright Futures Teaching School Hub we’re delighted to be working in partnership with Teach First to deliver the full suite of the new NPQs. Teach First has vast experience in NPQ delivery, having been an accredited NPQ provider for several years with excellent feedback from programme members and a proven track record in leadership development. You can find your NPQ here .
For the announced scholarships there are no limits on the number of funded places per school, however all NPQ providers have been allocated a set number of places by the DfE therefore we will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Teachers and Leaders can access:
Fully funded NPQ Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD)***
Fully funded NPQH (for those within the first two years of Headship)***
Fully funded all NPQs for schools within the top 30th percentile in relation to pupils with Pupil Premium***
Full details on scholarship criteria are available here .
Bright Futures application process is clearly explained and our application form is available here . Once Bright Futures has received your application, they will guide you to the second step of your application, completing the NPQ Online Service to register with the DfE.
