Celebration of the Sacraments
The EUCHARIST
THE HEART OF OUR FAITH

For us, The Eucharist is at the heart of our Catholic life. It is where we meet Jesus most closely and are reminded of his love for each of us. When we come together for Mass in college, it is a special moment of unity and celebration. We pray, we sing and share the Eucharist as one family of faith.
Mass is celebrated each week at 8.20am in the college chapel and everyone is warmly invited to attend. Afterwards, we share refreshments together, enjoying time as a community of faith and friendship.

College Mass
We celebrate Mass for multiple-year groups. These are celebrated at the start of the academic year, holy days of obligation, Advent, Lent and to mark the end of the college year. For each Mass, students will contribute to the planning and delivery of the liturgy. In addition to this, we also celebrate Mass and give thanks to our student leavers. Students are active participants, writing prayers, volunteering to read or participating in the music for Mass.

Reconciliation
Members of the clergy are invited to college on a termly basis to provide an opportunity for regular reconciliation for Blessed Thomas Holford students and staff.

Reconciliation is a special time to experience God's love and forgiveness. A chance to reflect, renew and begin again.
Students and staff can receive the sacrament at different points of the year, especially in Advent and Lent as we prepare our hearts to grow closer to God and one another.
Confirmation
The staff at Blessed Thomas Holford are Catechists within the parishes of St Joseph's and Holy Family Catholic Church, All Saints Catholic Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and St Vincents Catholic Church. Although the sacramental programme is a parish activity the staff are able to support students in their faith journey. The staff arrange retreats and formations session across 6 months of the year.
Confirmation is received by young people who are in Year 8 and above, usually around the age of 13, although adults who are converting to Catholicism also receive Confirmation.
If you wish you child to be confirmed please contact your local parish church for further details.
