Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College is one of the best performing schools in Trafford. Our most recent inspection by Shrewsbury Diocese rated us as an Outstanding Catholic school, and we celebrate high-achieving GCSE and A-level results each year.
What makes Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College stand out from other schools is our commitment to the young people in our care, encouraging and inspiring every child to fulfil their God-given potential and to flourish. We place as much emphasis on the pastoral care and faith development of the child as we do on academic excellence.
HELPING US TO ALL BECOME SAINTS - Worship and prayer are central to the life of the college and we seek to provide engaging, innovative and creative experiences of the richness of the Catholic tradition.
MAKING GOD'S LOVE OUR GUIDING CURRICULUM - The curriculum has been designed to inspire and challenge all learners and prepare them for adult life. The college aims to develop a broad and balanced curriculum that helps all our students to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.
DOING GOOD TO EVERYONE WITHOUT PARTIALITY - Each and every one of our students are special and have their own talents. The hard work and commitment to education we see from our students is wonderful. Working along side their teachers and each other they strive for excellence in everything they do.
LOVE MAKES US SIMILAR; IT CREATES EQUALITY, IT BREAKS DOWN WALLS AND ELIMINATES DISTANCE - We are a family here at Blessed Thomas Holford and we have a commitment to the young people in our care, encouraging and inspiring every child to fulfil their God-given potential and to flourish. We place as much emphasis on the pastoral care and faith development of the child as we do on academic excellence.
PASTORAL MISSION WHICH IS KIND, PATIENT AND PROTECTS, HOPES AND PERSEVERES - We aim to develop students to become well-rounded citizens who are equipped to face the challenges in our modern society. Through a variety of topics, students are encouraged to question and discuss their own beliefs and understanding of various issues that affect them and those who live and work around them.
"All of my teachers are very friendly and make lessons fun! There are lots of opportunities for you to join clubs and teams here, like design technology, trampolining, dance, football, choir and many more. Design technology is definitely my favourite subject though! I am really enjoying Year 8 very much and I am sure that the next few years at BTHCC will be very happy ones!"
"Personal Development is really interesting this year, we have been learning about Black History month and Equality and how we can make a positive impact on the world around us.
“We try hard in our lessons and the work is quite challenging at times but if we struggle we can always ask the teacher. I love our sports facilities and playing basketball for the school.”
The closing date for the application form is Friday 24th November
Join us for our annual Christmas Markets on the 3rd of December 11am-3pm
We are our hosting our biggest Careers Fair to date on Friday the 2nd of February here at BTHCC in our sports hall for all students.
We are seeking a range of organisations to promote careers within their sectors and possible pathways to employment or further education.
This is a fantastic opportunity for employers to seek out young talent and is a great chance to develop your company’s reputation through public interaction and brand awareness.
