Fundraising at BTHCC

Here at Blessed Thomas Holford we are passionate about teaching our pupils the importance of charity work, helping others less fortunate and also working as a team to achieve a common goal.

‘Fundraising for the Future’ is our School Charity, supporting the future of our school and our pupils’ education. Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College is a Registered Charity which supports the fundraising initiatives within our College.

Our continued vision is to raise funds to continue to develop the excellent education available for pupils at our College and to foster closer working relationships with our friends, family and our business community.

My name is Laura Hussain, I am the Fundraising and Marketing Manager here at BTHCC. I am constantly looking for new and exciting ways to raise vital funds for our college; these funds really do make a huge difference to the school, allowing us to purchase extra equipment for lessons, build new facilities and make the school the best environment for a successful education for your child.

We have ‘Friends of BTH’ and a Pupil event and Fundraising Team who are an absolutely fantastic group of pupils who have lots of fabulous ideas and lots of enthusiasm, so I imagine we will be seeing some wonderful events over the coming months from them, so watch this space!

We completely understand that parents are busy, and your time is probably stretched already, however, if you can support the school in any way it will always be appreciated and acknowledged!

Thank you for your support

Mrs Laura Hussain

Match Fundraising

You will now hopefully be aware of the fantastic work we are doing to raise funds for our school. We wanted to take this opportunity to remind you about the Match Funding scheme and how a little bit of your time could raise double the funds for the school.

If you work for an organisation that has a Match Funding Scheme, any money you raise could be matched by your employer. Companies may match the fundraising total for an event, or for the stall that their employee is working on. Usually, the employee will need to supply them with a letter from the school detailing the date and nature of the event, together with the total raised.

We understand that the high street banks, building societies, supermarkets and large corporations are likely to do match funding, but these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too.

We would be grateful if you could enquire whether your employer has a Match Funding Scheme, or if they are willing to match fund any of our events. If you can’t help out this time, but you know the company you work for has a Match Funding policy, please let us know. This could be a really large source of income for the school and really help us raise money for Blessed Thomas Holford.

If your Company or Employer may be able to help with our fund-raising efforts by Match Funding please contact Laura Hussain. We can discuss your companies’ requirements.
