Welcome from the Head of Sixth Form
Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College Sixth Form provides its students with a superb environment to develop and flourish academically and personally.
I am incredibly proud to be the Head of the Sixth Form at Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College and have the opportunity to share with you the superb provision we offer to our students with during their time with us.
Aristotle is attributed to have said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” This excellence is exactly what we aim to provide all our students with. We set very high standards in everything we do, both inside and outside the classroom and we believe this makes us an outstanding provider of Post-16 education; exactly the place to send your child if excellence is what you seek.
The results our students gain year-on-year allow them to secure a place at their chosen university or work placement. We already have an outstanding record of graduates from institutions right across the United Kingdom including many from some of the most prestigious Russell Group universities.
In the Sixth Form students’ attendance is outstanding. Students are exceptionally positive about how the school has helped them to develop their knowledge and skills. Sixth Formers are good role models who take an active participation in mentoring and supporting younger studentsOfsted Inspection Report: 19-20 June 2013
One of the most rewarding parts of my role as Head of Sixth Form is to receive emails and phone calls from former students letting me know what they are now doing and how the support they have received from our Sixth Form has enabled them to achieve their dream. This is what we want for your child, to set a goal and for our team of Sixth Form staff to work with them and you to realise this ambition.
Mrs Catherine Connaughton
