The amount of homework given is graded according to the position of the pupil in the school. For the first two years, homework should not exceed one to two hours per night. Usually one or two subjects will set homework each night. Homework is differentiated to cater for varying abilities.
Homework is given throughout the year. Parents will be informed if homework is not being completed regularly.
A pupil diary / planner is issued at no cost to help improve communications between home and school and to help pupils to record their homework. Training will be given to pupils, by their Form Tutors, in the correct use of their diary / planner. Replacement diaries / planners will cost £5.00 along with a signed letter of request from parents / carers.
